Director's Authority - 8A

The intent of the framers of the new Charter was that matters of local significance be handled by the Area Planning Commissions. Thus, standards delineating which tract or parcel map appeals would be handled by the City Planning Commission are proposed as follows:

  1. Any development project (tract or parcel map) which creates or results in 50,000 or more gross square feet of nonresidential floor area (current site plan review standard), or
  2. Any development project (tract or parcel map) which creates or results in 50 or more dwelling units or guest rooms or combination thereof (site plan review standad), or
  3. Any application without a proposed project description having less than 65,000 square feet of lot area (mini-shopping center standard).
