Project Description:
The Hilton Universal City Project (Project) involves the construction of an approximately 300,000 square-foot, 18-story Hotel Expansion Building to the existing 24-story Hilton Universal City Hotel on an approximately 7.26-acre site (Project Site). The Hotel Expansion Building would be comprised of 395 guest rooms, spa limited to guests and 250 non-guest members, a new single-level lobby connecting to the existing hotel building, a one-story addition to the ancillary hotel building consisting of Meeting Rooms, and a three-level expansion of the existing subterranean parking garage. The Hotel Expansion Building includes a restaurant, an indoor/outdoor bar, and rooftop pool deck, and two new pools. Upon completion of the Project, the Hilton Universal City Hotel would provide a maximum of 890 guestrooms and 697,521 square feet of floor area, resulting in a floor area ratio (FAR) of approximately 2.2:1 for whole of the Project Site.
Anticipated Environmental Effects:
Based on the analysis included in the Draft EIR, the Project would result in significant and unavoidable impacts related to: Project-level and cumulative on-site construction noise, and cumulative off-site construction noise. All other potential impacts would be less than significant or mitigated to less-than-significant levels.
