Summer 2022 Ventura-Cahuenga Corridor Land Use Concepts Outreach Summary

In summer of 2022, the Southeast Valley Community Plan Updates team hosted 3 webinars and virtual Office Hours sessions to solicit input on Los Angeles City Planning’s land use concepts for the Ventura-Cahuenga corridor in the Sherman Oaks, Studio City, and Cahuenga Pass neighborhoods. The webinars and Office Hours sessions provided an opportunity for communities along the corridor to be part of guided conversations with the City Planning staff about how the proposed land use concepts would apply to their neighborhoods.

The Ventura-Cahuenga Corridor was included in August 2021 as part of the Southeast Valley Community Plan Update to create an integrated land use plan that reflects a collective vision for the South Valley. As part of the Share phase for the plan update, the feedback garnered from this outreach effort will help staff create a draft General Plan Land Use map that will be shared with the public for further input.

The feedback used to inform this summary was received in writing during the webinar question-and-answer sessions, verbally during Office Hours, and from online surveys. Our outreach efforts are ongoing and we are still open to hearing your feedback even after the webinar and Office Hours have concluded. If you weren’t able to attend our meetings, you can still review the Webinar Recording, presentation, and storymap here. Additionally, you can share your thoughts with the Southeast Valley team at planning.southeastvalley@lacity.org.
